NE languages is the trading name of Chris Yeomans – a UK based French and Spanish to English translator, editor and content writer.
After growing up in Northumberland I headed off to read a French degree in Paris, followed by law at postgraduate level – with a specialist research interest in the European Union.
Around studies I freelanced as a content writer and editor. I have been a full-time French and Spanish into English translator and English language editor and content writer since 2008.
And so the seeds of NE Languages grew…
My translation work is mainly legal, corporate, technical and medical. I also have undertaken and undertake projects with various governments, the European Union and the United Nations. Please feel free to peruse my CV here.
My writing portfolio includes feature articles on politics, human rights, music, food, travel, football and F1 plus satirical columns and material.
A portfolio is available on request.
I am now based back where my dreams first began.
Hexham, a half an hour drive (or 40 minutes on the train) west of Newcastle upon Tyne. Close to Hadrian’s Wall it is a fantastic place to live and work.
There is also a wonderful languages community here – with coffee mornings or evening drinks with people who adore languages; a town twinning festival, international food, book and music festivals. For a translator and writer…It was an obvious choice.
For my local clients…Yes, I know, I am preaching to the converted.
For my other clients/or potential clients. Don’t just take my word for it…
Check it out for yourself.
